S.A.I.N.T.S Rescue
SAINTS is a place for senior and special needs animals who have no place else to go. In our care they receive appropriate medical attention, live in a safe and open environment, and get to enjoy their remaining years being celebrated for who they are as individuals. If, in time, we can find them a special home of their own then we do. If that very special home never comes, they will be safe and cherished right here with us until the end of their days.
Starfish Program
Many students across the province rely on school breakfast and lunch programs but when it comes to the weekends, they don’t have the food they need. Starfish Pack was designed to help change that. This program provides backpacks of 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and snacks to hungry students each weekend of the school year. Each week, volunteers fill backpacks with food and then deliver them to local schools for the students to take home on the weekend. The students return the empty backpacks to the school and volunteers pick them up to be refilled for the following weekend. It costs approximately $600 to fill a backpack for a student for the full school year. The Starfish Program has now expanded to over 24 cities across BC!

Terry Fox Foundation
Driven by Terry’s courage and determination, the Terry Fox Foundation collaborates with, and inspires, people around the world to support and fundraise for research to end cancer.
Terry Fox was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) in his right leg in 1977 and had his leg amputated 15 cm (six inches) above the knee. While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research. He called his journey the Marathon of Hope.
Terry’s Marathon of Hope took place in 1980 with the simple objective of informing Canadians of the importance of finding a cure for cancer. With fierce determination, he ran an average of 42 kilometres (26 miles) every day for 143 days. Terry was forced to end his run on September 1, 1980 when the cancer spread to his lungs.
By February 1, 1981, Terry’s dream of raising $1 for every Canadian was realized – the Terry Fox Marathon of Hope fund totaled $24.17 million. Terry died in June 1981.
Indian Residential School Survivors Society
The IRSSS has been serving First Nations people in B.C. since 1994, just ten years after the last Indian Residential School closed in the province. Recently, the IRSSS has supported survivors and intergenerational survivors with triggering and distressing situations, including the uncovering of unmarked graves at Indian Residential Schools across the country, by providing emotional and cultural support as needed.
The ever-changing and growing team at the IRSSS also provides dedicated and specialized services to support people, families and communities affected by Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). In addition, the IRSSS supports intergenerational survivors (aged 12-18) who are in the criminal justice system who seek culture as well as support with building healthy relationships.
Caliber Christmas Cares 2024
In the past, Caliber raised an incredible amount of funds to help local youth and families from over 80 different companies. Caliber’s display of their “Love It” value gives many local families Christmas hampers, gift cards, and personalized Christmas well wishes. It also provides funding for critical, year-round programs. This year, Caliber is teaming up again with their clients, champions, and subtrades/suppliers to support local ministries. Caliber will provide financial donations, while their employees give their time and comfort to a wonderful, local non-profit called: Youth Unlimited (YU). Through Youth Unlimited, they will be helping street-entrenched and at-risk youth in the Fraser Valley, through hampers, clothes, food, and program funding.
